Remodel

Remodels in the Plumbing world start with meeting up with the contractor. The contractor and the plumber will walk around the job, preferably after the drywall and the trim have been taken off the walls. The plumber and the contractor will go over the new locations of the toilets and the lavs. Sometimes the locations of the the toilet and sink are not possible to be moved. So then we provide a option that works for the Contractor and maximizing the area in the bathroom. The contractor and the plumber will make sure that that we go over all the details and then I will go to my home and I will write up a bid for the contractor. I will make sure that I include all the details that the Contractor and I went over for the Remodel. I will make sure that I count for every fitting and every pipe and all the material used for the job when writing up the bid. There are so many details to go over when you are bidding a remodel you have to make sure that you take good notes when doing your walk around with the Contractor. So once I make sure that all the details are covered in my bid I will send the contractor the contract via email and wait for him to tell me that they accept the bid. This may take up to a couple weeks before I get a response from them, but I make sure that I check in every week to do a good follow up. When the bid is accepted, we need to be able set time aside to get to the project. The sooner we know that our bid is accepted the sooner we can get it in the schedule then we get a 30% cash deposit down. This 30% cash deposit down is for materials for the remodel. I will meet up with the contractor and pick up the check and then I will take it over to the bank and deposit it in to Veterans Plumbing checking account. After that I will go to Standerd supply, which is our plumbing supply house and I will buy all the material for the job and take it to the job. Once we get to the job, we will unload the material and put it in the house in an orderly fashion. Then we will bring all our tools in and put them in an organized fashion in a specific location in the house to where they will not get a bunch of sawdust and debris on them. Next step we will being to dispose the existing plumbing. We will make sure that we cut all of it out and replace it with all new material. Now this is where it gets fun because once we cut out all the material, there are sections of the plumbing that we will not be able to cut out because there won’t be a good way to hook back onto the existing plumbing.

This makes a great challenge for us to be able to get everything back to where the customer can use the plumbing. So the first thing that we start with once everything has been gutted is we set the furthest toilet flange and we get all the toilet flange is set. The second step is to make sure we get all our venting out so we get all venting through the roof. Then we will start working on the drain system. As a Plumber Jackson Wy we have to design our own systems most of the time, especially for remodels. When working in (Jackson) Wyoming sometimes we get lucky and they will hire an engineer to do all the design for us. Most of the time we will have to do the design. I love Plumbing because of the fact that we are always the first ones in and the last ones out. It makes it nice when we are the first contractor working on the job because you are not working around a bunch of other trades. You can set up your music and listen to motivating and inspirational music. The music allows us to get into a rhythm and we get the plumbing done twice as fast. When we come to the job, we will lay our tools out in one room in an organized fashion then we will bring in the material and we will lay it out in an organized fashion. We will put the 3 inch fittings like the Y’s together and we will put the T’s together and the 3 inch couplings. The 3 inch 90s 3 inch 45 3 inch street 45 and every 3 inch fitting we will put together. As Plumber Jackson Wy we will put all the 2 inch fittings together as well. Then as Plumber Jackson Wy we will put all the inch and a half fittings together. All of these fittings will be laid out so they’re easily seen for insulation. This way when I ask my apprentice to go and grab me a fitting, he will easily be able to see the 3 inch the 2 inch and an inch and a half fittings. As Plumber Jackson Wy we try not to miss a beat when it comes to installing any kind of plumbing. We try to be as fluid as possible so that way we get the job done in a timely manner on time and on schedule. As Plumber Jackson Wy we believe life as a plumber in the Jackson Wyoming area requires a more qualified and more detail oriented plumber. The most important thing to a plumber Jackson Wy is that everything is done by code and then air tested and inspected. We pride ourselves and making sure this is done every time for every customer. This makes the experience for the customer seamless and it gives them a piece of mind and they don’t have to worry about their plumbing. Plumber Jackson wy have to deal with intense conditions extreme cold, and extreme hot you might ask yourself how is it hot or at 6600 feet and 90° day is hot in Wyoming. Veterans plumbing is always up to the task in any condition.
