When I plumb someone’s house or when I do service work for anybody I pretend that it’s my house so the work is always above our competition. I also do it for God and if you’re gonna do something for God, you don’t do it half you do it wholeheartedly. I will give you an example of our service work one time I was taking a toilet out because the customer complained that the toilet was leaking from the floor. I took the toilet bolts off and I lifted the toilet up and the first thing I noticed the toilet was not sealed to the ground with caulk. The second thing I noticed was the wax was doubled up, but it wasn’t doubled up correctly. So I took the wax ring off of the toilet flang and I threw it away. I checked the flange for any deficiencies. It look good so I took my new non-wax flan filler and I put it on then I put the toilet back on, took the bolts and secured the toilet flush, the toilet three or four times to make sure there was no leaks. Then I talked around the toilet to secure the toilet to the floor. The caulk is just for a little Insurance to make sure that the toilet stays consistent to the ground.
